For the record, on January 13, 2023, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a meeting to discuss the electric vehicle ecosystem today. One of the points discussed was regarding incentives or subsidies for electric vehicles.
ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif admitted that incentives for electric vehicles were discussed at the meeting.
“There will be a decision regarding electric vehicle incentives. However, it is not yet clear when the regulation will be officially issued. It will be soon, be patient,” said Arifin at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
