Next store in Dresden closed: Conrad branch at the main train station closes

There is no longer any future for Conrad in Dresden. The branch next to the main train station will close this year.

After Woolworth moved into the former Pfennigpfeiffer complex on Wallstrasse, bad news follows: Conrad is leaving the branch next to the main train station.

The technology shop shaped the entrance area to the City Center at the main train station for almost 25 years, and the end of the year will be over. A spokeswoman named “mid-November” as the expected date.

The background is mainly the planned general renovation of the center on Friedrich-List-Platz by the owner SachsenEnergie. However, the tenants could have returned after the work was finished.

Conrad does not seem to accept this offer. The company is in a “transformation process”. However, they are working “intensively on sustainable concepts in order to continue to come into direct contact with local customers”.

At the same time, the technology giant is also closing its branch on Leipzig’s Neumarkt.

“Economic considerations and site-specific features” were decisive there.
