Angie’s life and choices have always been marked by professional growth and success at work. The woman has become an important surgeon in New York, however sacrificing the loving side of her existence: when returning home to spend the holidays with her family of origin, Angie begins to wonder how things would have gone if she had decided to marry her ex-boyfriend, Tyler, who has since become famous. But it’s Christmas, and the train home will magically transport her into the past, a past in which Angie has the opportunity to change her whole life and find out what (and who) is really important to her. The crossroads between love life and professional life is a great classic of Christmas films, gracefully played here by a close-knit group of actors and in a fantastic and enveloping setting. And the theme of time travel seems to have particularly intrigued the casting office of this film, in which the young and yet good protagonists of the film are joined by Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd, that is the two actors who played together with Michael J. Fox the greatest cinematic classic about time travel, “Back to the Future”.
