The next meeting of the design commission will take place on Friday, November 24, 2023, in the New Town Hall, Festival Hall, Rathausplatz 1, Goldene Pforte entrance. Admission is from 1:30 p.m., starts at 1:40 p.m., ends around 4:30 p.m. Interested visitors can follow the professional exchange between the experts who are committed to building culture in Dresden from the audience area. The chairman of the commission, Professor Wolfgang Lorch, is in charge. This time it is about structural developments at the Dresden Heart Center, the Marschnerstrasse community and prayer center, the Stephanienstrasse residential development and the Hufewiesen district development. The Dresden Design Commission has existed since May 27, 2016. Its first public meeting took place on August 24, 2018. The task of the independent expert committee is to assess construction projects that shape the cityscape and to formulate recommendations. City administration employees, city councilors, builders and planners take part in the meetings. They present current projects and discuss them with the members of the design commission.
