It looks like the next game in Sony’s post-apocalyptic Horizon series come next year. This is evident from a vacancy recently launched by developer Guerrilla Games.
For example, the studio recently shared a vacancy – spotted by JorRaptor on X – looking for an intern for Quality Assurance of new releases. The applicant must have ‘theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge to ensure a game is ready for launch’.
Good detail: the candidate must be ‘available for an internship period in the first half of 2025’. That means the game will probably be released this summer or later.
What game will it be? Guerrilla Games is working on an online multiplayer game Horizon, which will not be a sequel to the series. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier previously revealed that Horizon Online is the studio’s next project.
Horizon Online is not to be confused with the Horizon MMO, which is in the works at NCSoft. The South Korean outlet MTN wrote a while ago that Sony and NCSoft had teamed up for a Horizon MMO, called Project H.
The real question is whether NCSoft and Guerrilla are working together. And of course Project H is just one project. We may find out when the game is first released.
