With the postponement of Halo Infinite it’s still a while until we get to play a new Halo on Xbox Series X / S. In the meantime, fans can comfort themselves with a refurbished version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which will be rolled out in a short month.
It’s time to dust off the ol’ Needler.

As Microsoft says on Twitter, the next-generation processing for the bundle package is ready by November 17. The game is optimized for the new consoles, and offers, among other things, 120 frames per second in both campaign mode and multiplayer.
On the Xbox Series X, the resolution can be pushed all the way up to 4K. The more powerful of the two machines also boasts improvements to local multiplayer, but we have not been told exactly what that means.
Those who already own The Master Chief Collection get the upgrade at no extra cost. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also jump right in and play as much as they want as long as the subscription is active.
As for the future of Halo, it’s not good to say when the next new game will come. Halo Infinite was supposed to be released at the same time as the Xbox Series X / S, but was postponed this summer. The postponement was announced in the wake of criticism directed at a longer trailer for the game, which did not meet the expectations of the fans.
