Next-Generation Sonos Move 2: Upgraded Design, Stereo Sound, 24-Hour Battery Life, and More

The Verge continues to leak information about Sonos’ upcoming products, and now they have obtained information about the next-generation Sonos Move.

At the end of September, it is rumored that Sonos will arrive to showcase the next generation Sonos Move and it will retain the same design as the current model. However, there will be a lot of news on the inside where the portable speaker will go from delivering mono sound to stereo sound. Battery life has also been improved and the Move 2 will have up to 24 hours of battery life compared to around 10 hours that the current Move offers. On the top of the speaker, there will be something new as it will have the same “slider” for the sound volume that the Era series has today.

The same slider that the Era 300 has will also get the Move 2

It will also be possible to connect Move 2 to others gadgets such as a record player via a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter that Sonos already sells today. The USB-C socket on the Move 2 will also be able to be used to charge, for example, the mobile phone, which is rubbish if you have taken it out into nature where there is no possibility of power. It has support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 and the power cord that sits in the dock itself for the Move will be able to be detached, which is not possible on the current model, which is grateful if the cable breaks. It will be released in three colors, black, white and olive green, and the price will be 449 dollars, which is 50 dollars more expensive than the current model.
