The new rules
A change of field per set
Players will change sides after the first three games and at the end of each set: all breaks will last 90 seconds. There will be no change of sides after the first game. If the set ends in a tiebreak, players will change sides without sitting down before starting it and after the first six points.

Shooting
The interval between one point and another will be reduced from 25 to 15 seconds if the server has scored the direct point through an ace or a mistake, free or forced, in response, or if he has committed a double foul.

The reduction in dead times will also affect the warm-up which will last a total of five minutes: one for the entry into the field, three for the dribble, one to be ready to start the game.

Instruct
Coaching, or the right for coaches to give directions to their players, will be allowed in the same way as allowed in the ATP circuit from 11 July. From his seat in the stands, the coach can speak to the player only when the two are on the same side of the pitch. Non-verbal and verbal exchanges are allowed, provided they are reduced to a few words and short phrases, as long as they do not interrupt the game or disturb the opponents.

At the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals, coaches will have another chance: they will be able to talk to their players if their opponents have obtained a medical time out or have left the pitch for a toilet break.

The other innovations
Players and coaches will be able to take advantage of real-time data through the TennisViz system, which will provide data and analysis in real time on the tablets made available to the coaches. The coaches can consult them in the Player Box and use the useful elements to give indications to the tennis players during the match.
