THE SUMMER of SAN MARTINO is in the balanceThe traditional summer of San Martino this year is more than ever in the balance! In short, that period, in full autumn, during which conditions of good weather and an unseasonable warmth traditionally occur, this year may not take place. That said, let’s try to understand what awaits us on the meteorological front until the day of Friday 12 November. After a Tuesday 9 under the banner of highly unstable weather, especially on the two major islands and a large part of the Center-South, on the day of Wednesday 10 once again the same regions will be frequently affected rains; moreover, the extreme sectors will be added to them north-western of the country: it will therefore be highly advisable to keep an umbrella handy in Sicily, Calabria, on the northern sectors of the Sardinia, but also on Aosta Valley, Piedmont, as well as on the Liguria central and western. Finally, during the day, some rains may reach even the southernmost areas of the Tuscany, especially the coastal strip and, by evening, the coasts of Lazio.
Elsewhere, however, we will experience a context of strong variability, made more pleasant by an alternation of cloud coverings with some timid lightening.
This will be the prelude to a Thursday 11 where the worst weather, needless to say, we will find it once again on Sicily, on the Tyrrhenian sectors of Center and on the northernmost ones of Sardinia, as well as to the extreme Northwest.
There will also be little news in the rest of the country, where the day will pass dry overall between clouds and bright spells.
Thus we arrive on the eve of the weekend when the cyclonic vortex it will still be able to threaten many areas, such as the lowlands Tuscany, the Lazio, once again the Sicily and the southernmost sectors of the Calabria. On these sectors the risk of rainfall locally also of a stormy nature, while the rest of Italy will continue to live in limbo, with an atmosphere certainly less agitated, but also with many clouds, despite some generous glances of the sun (less likely on Lombardy and Emilia).
