Innsbruck. In Tyrol, the number of deaths related to the corona virus has risen to ten. An 86-year-old with a previous illness died at the district hospital in Kufstein, the country said on Saturday evening. The country had a total of 1,890 patients as of Saturday 7:00 p.m., a further 226 had recovered.
The State of Tyrol again pointed out that the figures shown on the dashboard of the Ministry of Health for Tyrol were still not completely updated. As of 8:00 p.m., the dashboard showed 1,904 cases for Tyrol – but including those who had recovered.
42,750 tests carried out across Austria
So far, 15,803 tests have been carried out in Tyrol. A result was available for 14,048, 1,755 were still being evaluated. So far, 42,750 tests have been carried out across Austria. Tirol was therefore responsible for around a third of all tests in Austria, although only around 8.5 percent of the Austrian population lives in Tyrol.
The most affected district was still Landeck with 416 cases. This was followed by Innsbruck with 304 positive tests and the Kufstein district with 269. These are the numbers of those currently ill, ie excluding those who have already recovered.
