– I was alone in a closed room with camera surveillance. I didn’t think anyone would come in there and help themselves.
That’s what Arne Husum says just over a week after he returned home from Cuba. A country he has traveled to several times every single year for the past 20 years in connection with work. He has never experienced anything like what he did on the trip in mid-February.
Husum fell asleep in a closed room at a bus station in the city of Sancti Spiritus, and within minutes he was the victim of a theft.
– I had put the mobile phone ten centimeters from my head, but when I woke up the phone was gone, he says.
Although Norwegian police have subsequently managed to trace the stolen goods, he will probably never see it again. Now he advises other travelers on what they should do.

Thomas Stebergløkken (49) has never received as much grant as last year. Nevertheless, the economy has never been worse.
– I have never done as badly as in 2022 and have never worked so hard either. The record farm settlement last year doesn’t help, my costs have increased much more. I am not left with anything – I have zero kroner in hourly payment, Stebergløkken tells GD.
The farmer from Sel municipality has run the Bergdølmo farm in Nedre Heidal since 1996. In 2017, he extended the barn and got 43 new beds. At the same time, he installed a milking robot. This cost NOK 3.5 million.
– Now it is so bad that the milking robot tells us that the expenses are greater than the income. I lose money for every liter produced, he says. The seas (+).

The person points to his street, where in the winter time and again people have been plowed into their own property so that they cannot get out with their car.
“I don’t have the same equipment as you do to clear away snow. So then there is some ice and snow on the road because my snowblower is not that powerful,” writes the resident of the street in question.
While the work was going on, a representative from the municipality’s technical agency came and threatened the police if more snow got in the way. The seas (+).
