Students aged 15 to 18 from the state education network engaged in entrepreneurship and social impact initiatives for at least six months who wish to participate in the 2024 Young Ambassadors have until August 13 to register.
Promoted by the US Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, the program takes high school students from public schools across the country for a two-week exchange in the US. For information and to register, the interested party must access the website www.jovensembaixadores.org.br.
The exchange is scheduled to take place from January 19 to February 3, 2024. Those selected will be announced by November 3. In addition to being at the forefront of initiatives that seek creative solutions to problems in their communities, students must have a leadership profile, academic excellence and knowledge of the English language.
According to the Youth Ambassadors notice, the program “seeks students who want to develop an idea, a product or service with the aim of benefiting not only themselves, but also their community, regardless of whether they are large or small actions, or in the area of entrepreneurship, such as social inclusion, education, culture, community credit, urban mobility, gender and race equality, environment, special needs and cooperatives in general, among others”.
Since its creation in 2003, 798 young Brazilians have participated in the Young Ambassadors program. The program is an official initiative of the US Department of State and, in Brazil, it is coordinated by the US Embassy and Consulates and implemented by Associação Grupo Mais Unidos.
