Salvador recorded the lowest temperature of the year at 3 am this Tuesday (4), 20.6° with wind gusts of 35.6 km/h. On Monday (3), a gust of wind of 41.4 km was recorded at 6 pm. The data were measured by the Inmet station.

According to meteorologist Giuliano Carlos do Nascimento, from the Salvador Civil Defense Alert and Alarm Monitoring Center (CemaDEC), the gusts occur due to a high pressure system that is over the South Atlantic Ocean and, in addition, due to influence of the passage of a cold front.

Still according to him, the strong winds will continue acting throughout the week in the capital of Bahia.

The forecast for tomorrow, Wednesday (5) is for partly cloudy skies with light rain, sometimes moderate at any time of the day.

Codesal, which is part of the municipality’s essential services category, remains on call 24 hours a day, answering requests via the toll-free number 199.

Codesal also issues alerts so that you are not taken by surprise. Send an SMS to 40199 and enter your zip code and receive alert bulletins from the Civil Defense. The service is free.
