Pillar of Vitória’s midfield in the Brazilian Series B, midfielder Rodrigo Andrade should miss Vitória in the debut of the second round, against Ponte Preta. The match is valid for the 20th round of the competition and will be played on Sunday (30), at 6 pm, at the Moisés Lucarelli stadium, in Campinas.
Rodrigo Andrade complained of discomfort in his calf again after the 1-0 victory against Chapecoense, last Monday (24). The game was the first he was featured in after recovering from an injury to the same region. After missing the red-black team in four rounds of Série B, the defensive midfielder was left as an option on the bench and replaced Gegê in the second half.
Vitória’s medical department has not vetoed the player yet, but the trend is that he will not travel with the red-black delegation to Campinas. Rodrigo Andrade will undergo a new evaluation at Toca do Leão on Saturday morning (29), when the team will do the last training session before facing Ponte Preta.
In addition to Rodrigo Andrade, coach Léo Condé will not be able to count on three other players for the confrontation with Ponte Preta. Left-back Felipe Andrade and striker Osvaldo injured their thighs and are out, as well as defender Camutanga, who received the third yellow card and is suspended. With 37 points, Vitória is the isolated leader of Série B. Ponte Preta is in 13th place, with 22 points.
