The service stations that are part of the Confederation of Hydrocarbons and Related Entities of the Argentine Republic (Cecha), among which are the majority of those that operate in Pergamino and the region, ratified their decision to stop receiving credit cards as a method of payment, something that had been noticed since the end of last year.
The measure will come into force as of February 1, and is due to a breach by the collection entities that produce millions in losses to the fuel pumps.
“After successive claims and with a court ruling in favor, the service stations are considering taking a drastic measure due to the lack of response: not accepting credit card payments. At Cecha we have been claiming for the damages caused daily due to the accreditation deadlines and the commissions set by the companies issuing the plastics”, they pointed out through a statement from the entity that arrived yesterday at LA OPINION.
As they explained, the specific problem is that “the commissions for the use of the system that the service stations must pay are too high, and the time for crediting the payments is too long, which leads to losses for the companies,” they said. He highlighted in one of the points of the report that was issued with the objective that users know this determination in time.
