FC Volendam
Volendammer Luca Blondeau has signed his first professional contract with FC Volendam. The 18-year-old defender signed for two years.
Blondeau is a product of Voetbal Volendam. In 2022, he flowed from RKAV Volendam, via a development trajectory into the youth of FC Volendam. After his transfer, he then went through the O17 and O18 of FC Volendam. With the latter team, the talent from the village won the KNVB Cup last season.
This season, the Volendammer started with the U19, where he made a strong impression. He then continued that good line in a trial internship with the first, which has now resulted in an official debut, at the end of August, in the match won by the Volendammers with 0-4 against TOP Oss.
Insiders describe Blondeau as a talented central defender with good speed who also dares to defend against the halfway line, is strong in the duel with the courage to pass and dribble towards midfield.
