Chermiti will leave for Everton, but the Japanese will not replace the young striker
On the verge of losing Youssef Chermiti to Everton, a deal that, as our newspaper said, is very close to coming to fruition, Sporting already know that they will not replace the 19-year-old striker with their preferred target, Ayase Ueda. The Japanese, 24 years old, traveled this Wednesday morning to Rotterdam, to be presented by Feyenoord – the announcement should happen in the next few hours -, who will pay 9 million euros for the footballer’s move to Cercle Brugge, promising more 1.25 in targets and 20% in a future sale of the Japanese international. Ueda, remember, became the plan B of Viktor Gyökeres, today a Sporting player, but still on the list in case one of the forwards abandoned Alvalade – Chermiti or Paulinho. The lions knew that the competition was strong and, we found out, have other targets in their portfolio, despite the fact that at the moment they have promoted the young Rodrigo Ribeiro, 18 years old, to work in the main team.
