Train traffic in Eastern Norway has started running with reduced capacity after two ground faults were discovered on Oslo S. on Tuesday.
–
– We do not know how long it will be like this, at the same time the air train goes as normal again, press officer Dag Svinsås in Bane Nor informs NTB at 15.40 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, train traffic stopped twice in Eastern Norway. The cause was a ground fault on Oslo S. The faults may be related to each other, according to Bane Nor.
The other of the two earth faults was discovered at 11 o’clock on Tuesday morning. At 13.30 the traffic was still standing.
It is still uncertain when the earth faults will be rectified.
– It is impossible to say when the error will be corrected. If there is something we do not guess, it is a ground error. We search all over Oslo S, all of the crew are out. Earth faults can be difficult to locate, says Svinsås.
Earlier Tuesday, the entire Oslo S was closed in the morning rush hour due to a similar error. Then the closure lasted about an hour. All lines were also then affected. Svinsås says they can not rule out that the two incidents are related.
– It is not unlikely, but we can not know it since we do not know what the second mistake is due to. But it is in the same place and the same type of error, he says.
Svinsås says the error from Tuesday morning had not been completely corrected, and train traffic was not fully up and running again when the new error occurred.
