Thierry Paterlini (45) is the new coach of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Neuchâtel club confirms its arrival by specifying that it has signed up for a period of one season. Its staff will be made up of Loïc Burkhalter (assistant coach) and Fabien Hecquet (goalkeepers’ trainer).
After a long playing career in the Nationale League, he started a coaching career which he started with the Sierre U20s. He worked two seasons with EHC Bülach before continuing for six years with the U18 and U20 national teams. He has also assisted the national team coach on several occasions. Thierry Paterlini will have his first experience managing a Swiss League team with the HCC.
Loïc Burkhalter: “This season we have integrated more young people into the team, the experience acquired in recent years by Thierry Paterlini with the national team, at all levels, will allow the team to benefit.”
