According to the latest news, the death toll has risen to 91 and another 30 injured. Authorities are still in full relief.

According to extensive foreign media reports, the suspension bridge spans the Machchu River and has a length of 230 meters. It was built during the British colonial period in the 19th century. The renovation was completed and reopened five days ago, attracting many pilgrims. Unexpectedly, the suspension bridge collapsed for unknown reasons and now the suspension bridge has sunk into the river.
The local government announced a pension of Rs 400,000 (approximately NT $ 150,000) to each family member of the deceased and a pension of Rs 50,000 (approximately NT $ 19,000) to the injured in the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi, on a three-day visit to his hometown, expressed deep sadness at the tragedy.
