Reopening of the Boulonnais beaches (Update May 15)
The mayors of the coastal municipalities of the Boulogne agglomeration request the Prefect for the reopening of the beaches
This morning, following the coordination meeting of the 22 mayors of the agglomeration, the mayors of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Wimereux, Le Portel, Equihen Plage, Saint-Étienne-au Mont, Neufchâtel-Hardelot and Dannes, are gathered to discuss the issue of reopening the beaches.
Since this Monday, walks in the forest are allowed. However, the beaches of the littoral are vast and also allow the walk in an individual way or in family, the individual sporting practice or the activities of fishing on foot, and this in complete safety and in the respect of the measures of distancing. It is legitimate to consider that our coastal beaches would provide residents with an additional place to stroll and thus deconcentrate the flow of walkers on other sites.
