COVID-19 MICROBUSINESS CASH ASSISTANCE NOW AVAILABLE
The Division of Prevention, Recovery, Resilience and Mitigation (PRRM), in partnership with the Economic Development and Finance Corporation (EDFC), is pleased to announce the availability of $2,500 COVID-19 microbusiness relief money.
Grants (monetary aid) are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to micro-businesses physically located within Mendocino County. Cash aid applications will be accepted until June 1, 2022. There will be a brief eligibility review period for the applicant and approval will continue throughout the application period with an anticipated time of disbursement of all funds for the June 30, 2022.
Eligible uses of funds include purchasing new equipment, investing in working capital, applying for or renewing a local permit, repaying business debt incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, and costs resulting from restrictions. pandemic health and safety or business restrictions, interruptions or closures due to the pandemic.
Priority is being given to micro-businesses owned or operated by a member of a group that has faced historic barriers to accessing capital, including but not limited to women, minorities or people of color, veterans, undocumented individuals, and people living on low incomes , wealth, or rural low-income and micro-enterprise areas that suffered economic impacts or income losses due to COVID-19.
