The price of electricity has had strong peaks almost every single day for many weeks. Today, the price is unusually flat.



Close to Christmas Eve we saw electricity prices of over 7 kroner per kilowatt hour. It will also be expensive on Tuesday, but prices are far more stable.

For the first time in a very long time, the price does not go up NOK 2 / kWh in the course of a whole day.

According to Nordpool, the average price is NOK 1.47 / kWh plus VAT and taxes. In other words, an average price for you and me of well under two kroner.

The most expensive hour is between 17-18. In total, prices go down slightly from Monday to Tuesday. The average price drops by 40 cents, according to Nordpool. On December 22, the price was as much as one kroner and 20 øre more expensive on average per hour.
