The star striker of the Penguins Evgeni Malkin is out of line against the NJ Devils due to a lower body injury. As a reminder, Malkin was hit two days ago (see also our news) by Boston Bruins defenseman Jarred Tinordi. Then he returned briefly, but retreated back to the locker room soon after.
Malkin was one of four Penguins players to appear in the team’s first 29 games this season. He ranks 3rd among the Penguins with 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists).
