News, Oskar Westerlin | Jan-Ivar has not been contacted after he published the ad: – I am overpriced by a thousand

The commitment to the bowl has been great, and the bowls have been torn away from shop shelves. This has led to several people resorting to Finn.no to try to sell the popular chocolate bun, and at a high price.

One of those who have thrown themselves into the chocolate bun sale is Jan-Ivar Larsen Østerhus. He is a teacher at a high school in Bergen. He did not know who Oskar Westerlin was until a colleague made him aware of the chocolate buns, and that some people sell them at a much higher price.

– I thought it was possible, and decided to run my own experiment, he tells Nettavisen.

Chocolate bun for NOK 500

The colleague had shown an advertisement in which the seller wanted NOK 650 for the bowl. Therefore, he decided to put himself a little under, and landed on NOK 500. Now the chocolate bun has been outside on Finn for almost a day. Despite all the hours spent on the market, no one has made contact and shown interest.

– I’m overpriced by a thousand.

Afterwards, Østerhus has seen several advertisements on Finn, and discovered that many have placed the buns in an even lower price range than what he himself has done. Most of them cost around NOK 100-200.

He himself has not been able to taste the bowl, but says that his colleague has been able to test it. She was not as enthusiastic as Westerlin’s fans.

– She thought it was compact, dry and not good at all.

Encourages shopping in the store

Westerlin has learned that the chocolate buns are being sold on Finn.no. He points out to Romerikes Blad that there are new buns in the store every day. He therefore encourages you to wait until the next day, rather than look for Finn.

On the home front at Østerhus, it is mixed how much the family believes that the bowl will be sold. The 13-year-old son knew well who Oskar Westerlin was, and had good faith that his father could sell the chocolate bun. The wife, on the other hand, did not believe that Østerhus would be 500 kroner richer from the bowl.

– I hope she is right. If someone gets in touch, I don’t know if I want to sell. It’s too crazy.
