John Vanbiesbrouck, Deputy Executive Director of Hockey Operations for USA Hockey, has been appointed General Manager of the United States Men’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team for 2022, and David Quinn has been named head coach, USA Hockey announced today.
John and David have been involved in our 2022 Olympic process and are well positioned to take on their new roles.
said Pat Kelleher, executive director of USA Hockey. With the NHL’s decision not to compete in the Olympics, we are fortunate to benefit from the significant experience they bring to help shape and guide our men’s Olympic team.
USA Hockey plans to appoint more staff in the coming days and unveil the final roster of the men’s Olympic team’s 25 players in mid-January.
