Yesterday, September 29, the Diocese of San Sebastián experienced one of the most significant moments of its pastoral year with the priestly ordination of Borja Prieto Esnaola. The celebration took place in the parish of San Martín de Tours, in Urretxu, the new priest’s hometown, and coincided with the beginning of the pastoral course. The ceremony, presided over by the Bishop of San Sebastián, Mr. Fernando Prado Ayuso, was attended by a large group of diocesan priests, as well as family, friends, members of the Urretxu community and the entire Gipuzkoan Church.

Last Sunday, September 29, the town of Azkoitia was the scene of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2024an event marked by cultural diversity and unity around faith. The Pastoral Care of Migrated People of the Diocese of San Sebastián organized this day, which brought together people from different cultures, under the motto: “God walks with his people”. With the beginning of the month of October, catechesis for the preparation of First Communion begins in the parishes of the Diocese of San Sebastián.
