Rumors circulated that the driver of the Honda HR-V, the man with the initials BT (20), was a suspect deadly accident on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta, is the son of an official. The police responded to this.
“I don’t know, we have never seen the background of the perpetrators,” said Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, to reporters, Thursday (17/2/2022).
Sambodo said his party did not see anyone’s background in investigating the accident case. However, the police in this case focus on criminal cases of accidents.
“We’re just looking at how his criminal actions led to the accident,” added Sambodo.
Meanwhile, Sambodo added that he did not know about BT’s work. He said the fatal accident on Jalan Sudirman was not prominent.
“The work, I’ll see later. I haven’t gone into too much depth because I don’t think this is a standout accident,” he explained.
Become a suspect
The man with the initials BT (20) was previously named a suspect in the case deadly accident on Jl Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta. The police have officially detained the suspect BT.
“Yes, we are holding it,” said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argadija Putra when contacted detik.comThursday (17/2).
BT is currently being held in the Gakkum Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya. He was charged with Article 310 paragraph 4 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
The police have done a urine test on BT. If BT is proven to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while driving, the police will charge him with more severe charges.
“Later we will check the results when the urine results come out, if for example it showed signs of danger, we could have raised it to 311,” Sambodo told reporters.
