News, Nightlife | End of famous nightclub: – Has had a special place in my heart

On the last day of the year, the news came that the nightclub Hydranten in the center of Jessheim will be closed. After 25 years as a nightlife bastion in Storgata, the doors are now closed for good.

According to owner Christian Taalesen, there is no drama in the liquidation.

– There is no reason to hide that it has been tough to be in the nightlife industry in the pandemic after March 12, 2020, and I have decided to close the Hydrant department to concentrate on further operation of the company and the places I already am. part of, says Taalesen in a press release.

Sad

Taalesen believes the time was now right to end a piece of significant nightlife history in the center of Jessheim.

– Since the lease for Hydranten expires in the new year, I have in dialogue with the farm owner agreed not to renew it.

Taalesen makes no secret of the fact that it is with a certain sadness that he closes the doors to Hydranten.

– After all, it is the first nightclub I was with and opened here in the city, so Hydranten has had a special place in my heart. At the same time, the premises are so dilapidated that I have decided to use my strength on the remaining restaurants I am involved in.
