Jeff Carter hit the target four times in Pittsburgh’s 8-4 win over Buffalo. Sidney Crosby and Kasperi Kapanen also distinguished themselves with a goal and an assist each. Without influence on the access of the various teams of the Eastern section to the playoffs, Pittsburgh nevertheless takes the lead of this section with two points ahead of Washington.
