A New York judge today cleared two African-American men, one of whom died in 2009, convicted over 50 years ago for the 1965 murder of black cause activist Malcolm X.
Qualifying “failure of justice” the conviction of Muhammad Aziz, alias Norman 3X Butler, now 83 years old and present in the Supreme Court of New York, and of Khalil Islam, alias Thomas 15X Johnson, who died in 2009, Judge Ellen Biben exonerated the two men, after the filing of a request to this effect by New York Attorney Cyrus Vance and the defense.
