News – Justice | Côte-Saint-André: he coveted gold, he found prison

A 24-year-old man was referred to the Vienna public prosecutor’s office this Friday, April 17, for two burglary attempts perpetrated the same night, to the detriment of the same business.

The facts took place during the night of April 15 to 16, in downtown La Côte-Saint-André. Shortly before 3 am, a hooded individual tries to force open the door of the “Or Net” store specializing in the purchase and sale of gold on rue de la République using a tool. Unsuccessful, he leaves before returning shortly after 4 a.m. This time, he is relentless on the shop window. Without much success.

Alerted, the gendarmes of the Vienna company proceed to the first investigations and establish that the individual left the scene aboard a Dacia Sandero, which will be found on fire a few minutes later. A car he had just stolen. But in his escape at the wheel, hitting a wall, he preferred to burn it down and disappear on foot during the night.

On parole for only a few weeks

The gendarmes of the Beaurepaire / La Côte-Saint-André brigade community, conducting the investigation, had to quickly identify the author, who was arrested at his mother’s home in the evening.

Placed in police custody, Jordan Heitore, on parole for only a few weeks, was referred to the prosecution and tried in the process under the immediate appearance regime. His record with 21 convictions did not plead in his favor: he received 8 months in prison. The court also revoked 4 months of a previous stay. A sentence which he started serving immediately, a warrant having been issued at the bar.
