In the first game of the 11th Józef Gajewski Memorial, Ślepska Malow Suwałki volleyball players faced Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom. Radom did not manage to oppose the opponents. Almost the entire match was dictated by the charges of coach Andrzej Kowal, who won 3-0.
The meeting was started better by the hosts who were after ace Cezary Sapiński and effective attack Bartłomiej Bołąg they were leading 4: 0. He scored the first point for Radom citizens only Dawid Konarski. Black quickly eliminated the losses, Tuaniga’s mistake gave a draw (6: 6). In subsequent actions, the result remained at the interface, both teams intertwined effective actions with errors (12:12). In the middle phase of the set he successfully scored Andreas Takvam, however, the hosts did not avoid mistakes in the service area (15:13). There was no shortage of extended exchanges. At 18:16, coach Prygiel asked for the time. Black’s coach decided to make a double shift, which gave an impulse to catch up. When after a break for coach Kowal Bartosz Firszt he added an ace, the Radom players took the lead – 20:19. Only the attack Tomasa Rousseaux allowed the hosts to come out of the awkward setting. The ending turned to Ślepska’s plan. The victory of the Suwałki residents was sealed with a Takvam attack.
In the second set Ślepsk followed the blow, an effective attack Marcin Waliński and the block on Konarski gave them the lead 7: 3. The visitors did not help each other by making mistakes, so the coach Prygiel asked for time (9: 4). In the following actions, the Radom soldiers launched effective attacks, but the distance remained (12: 7). The hosts played the next series at Bołąg, after his ace, the Black coach used the break for the second time (15: 9). Ślepsk dominated the net, the rivals had no arguments to stop the opponents (18:10). Single plays by Konarski and Firszt did not help much. Both coaches rotated the squads. A strong attack by Bołąg closed the scene.
The beginning of the third game is a series of mistakes by the hosts. The guests, however, did not take advantage of the situation and Ślepsk quickly took a two-point lead (7: 5). The players of both teams spoiled the next licks. The game didn’t have much pace (11:11). When, after a successful block, Ślepsk from Suwałki was leading by 13:11, coach Prygiel asked for the time. The series at Bołąg’s licks lasted until the attacker’s mistake (15:12). The hosts played consistently. In the end, the Radomians tried to make up for the losses, but despite several successful attacks Dawid Konarski the distance continued. Takvam’s attack gave the hosts a series of match balls. Black Radom volleyball players prolonged the match thanks to playing Daniel Gąsior, but Sapiński put a stop on this set as well.
