BRAD WRIGHT: “MGM and Amazon will make another Stargate, but the current project collided with the COVID-19 pandemic

Few science fiction franchises have captured the magic of episodic television like it did. Stargate in the 1990s and early 2000s.

In recent years, there have been several attempts to get the saga started in some way, including a trilogy of films by the director. Roland Emmerich and the manufacturer Dean Devlin.

In 2019, MGM asked the co-creator of Stargate SG-1, Brad Wrightto write a driver for a new reboot series that would follow a new team.
