Agent: “Hinteregger could have earned twice as much”
After the irritation about a possible sale of Eintracht central defender Martin Hinteregger, his advisor spoke up. Advisor Christian Sand told kicker: “If you say to a player who feels so at home: ‘If an offer came, we would be ready to give you up’, for him that means that you would like to let him go At least that’s how he took it.” Hinteregger, who identifies very closely with Eintracht, was recently disappointed that the club had signaled that they might sell him. The club then said that they wanted to continue working with Hinteregger until the end of the contract in 2024. According to Sand, Hinteregger has rejected several offers in the past, for example from Lazio Rome, AC Milan and SSC Napoli. “There was concrete interest, he could have earned twice as much at Napoli. But Hinti wants to stay with Eintracht – and be valued,” said Sand.
