COVERED IN STARSHINE
The special sparkle and glitter that not only illuminates the streets and houses of the city during Advent, but above all makes our minds shine, is the focus of the Christmas installation at BIKINI BERLIN this year. Under the title “Star Shine“, the Berlin illustrator Hannah Müller-Hillebrand, also known as MÜHI, has created three wonderful works of art that poetically capture the magic of the Christmas season.
With her imaginative, playful illustration style, which skilfully plays with proportions and surreal elements, the artist takes us on a star-filled journey through Advent. Your paintings will also decorate our wrapping paper this year and will carry the starry splendor of this Christmas from City West to all directions.
Because like every year, we invite the city’s strollers to have their Christmas presents wrapped in a very special dress at our wrapping station. MÜHI’s wonderful designs ensure that the gifts wrapped at BIKINI BERLIN this year not only bring joy to the recipients, but also a piece of heaven.

We are open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on shopping Sundaysn, on the 8th and December 22, 2024from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there for you.
With our Christmas card you can send your loved ones the Christmas lights by post – even free of charge, because we take care of the domestic postage!
The photo booths are also available for free use on Sundays when shops are open.

Interviewer: Thank you both for joining me today. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the ”Star Shine” installation?
Guest 1: Of course! As an artist, I’ve always been fascinated by the magic of Christmas and the way it transforms cities into a winter wonderland. This year, I wanted to capture that magic in my illustrations and bring it to life at BIKINI BERLIN. I wanted to create a visual adventure that would transport people to a starry, celestial world. I was inspired by the idea of capturing the essence of the season and sharing it with others through my art.
Guest 2: Hannah’s work is incredibly vibrant and captivating, and we were thrilled to have her create something so special for our Christmas event. We wanted to create an atmosphere that celebrates not only the beauty of the season but also the joy of giving. Our goal was to create a place where people could come together, enjoy the art, and share the magic of Christmas with their loved ones.
Interviewer: That sounds wonderful! Can you tell us more about the illustrations themselves?
Guest 1: Yes, absolutely. The three main illustrations are based on the theme of stars and celestial elements. One features a city streetscape covered in starshine, another shows a whimsical snow globe scene, and the third is a fantastical forest filled with sparkling stars. Each one has its own unique charm and captures the spirit of the season.
Guest 2: We’re so excited about the way they’ve turned out! They’re a perfect fit for our venue and really bring a sense of fun and wonder to the holiday season. We love the way they create a magical setting for our wrapping station as well.
