Wounded in the upper body on February 20 against Nashville (see also our news), Columbus Blue Jackets goalkeeper Elvis Merzlikins has been reassigned to the pennant team, while his replacement Veini Vehvilainen leaves in the “taxi squad”.
Merzlinkis has averaged 2.81 goals, a .917 save percentage and one shutout in nine games this season.
