The emergency services responded to a head-on crash on Søfteland in the town of Bjørnafjorden on Wednesday night. The accident happened just after midnight.
– It’s a real accident, head on, said police incident leader Casper Kaland to BA at the scene.
He says there were two people involved.
– The driver of the car was arrested after the accident. The person was transported by ambulance to the trauma unit at Haukeland hospital, police incident director Casper Kaland told BA.
The truck driver is in good health, he says.
– What do you know about the cause of the accident?
– It is not known at the moment, says Kaland.
The passenger car was heavily damaged. There were a lot of parts and oil spills on the road after the accident.
