– There has been a fire in a deep fryer in the kitchen at Leo’s playground and this has led to a good deal of smoke in the room, says the operations manager.
The police’s emergency manager Ole Marius Røttingen informs BA at the scene that 26 people were evacuated.
– This was implemented by the employees. People ran out in whatever they were standing and walking in. They got a bit cold, and will be collected at a neighboring business, Johannessen says.
At 0956 the fire was reported extinguished.
The fire service first received a report of smoke via an automatic fire alarm and by telephone at 0936.
– There have been no reports that anyone has been injured or has inhaled smoke, says duty commander at the 110 central, Stian Kvam to BA.
Leo’s playground is located in Kokstad and opened its doors for visitors at 0900 on Saturday morning.
According to the police, the playland will probably have to remain closed for the next few hours.
