The German Champions League quartet starts the group phase with away tasks. Bayern Munich will be playing for FC Barcelona on September 14th, and VfL Wolfsburg will face French champions OSC Lille on the same day. On September 15, RB Leipzig will play for last year’s finalists Manchester City, while Borussia Dortmund will fight for the first points at Besiktas Istanbul.
FC Bayern, most recently winner of the premier class in 2020, will face Benfica Lisbon and Dynamo Kiev in Group E in further games. In addition to ManCity, Leipzig caught Paris St. Germain with Lionel Messi in the strong group A. Another opponent is Club Bruges.
Wolfsburg still faces FC Sevilla and RB Salzburg in Group G, while other opponents of BVB in Season C are Sporting Lisbon and Ajax Amsterdam.
The group stage ends after six match days on December 7th and 8th.
