No people are missing or reported injured after the powerful fire on Lone on Saturday night.

The alarm went off at 0217. The sprinkler system was triggered, and a fire was reported in the roof of the municipal residence. Shortly afterwards, the fire brigade was notified that the four-storey building was completely overheated.
– People on the spot reported to us, and the first patrol that came on the scene reported the same: The building was overheated. We were met on the spot by an entire facade in full flame, says operations manager in the fire service Frode Lie.
BA was in Arna just after the dramatic reports of the fire came. Then there were chaotic scenes outside the building with many evacuated residents and it burned heavily.
Task leader Per Magnus Vabø in the police, tells BA that they immediately started the work of getting an overview of the residents.
There are around 20 municipal apartments in the building. Vabø says that 24 people were evacuated last night.
– We have spoken to one person from all the housing units. No people are missing, he says.
Have not been through the apartments
He emphasizes that one has not been through all the apartments, but they have no information from residents that would indicate that someone is missing.
The head of operations for health, Kenneth Ellefsen, says that no people were injured and no one was taken to hospital.
The police will not go into details about how people got out of the burning building.
– The building itself is completely damaged, and you can consider it lost, says Lie in the fire service.

They are now working to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. There is a lot of wind in the area, which gives the fire brigade one of the challenges.
– The goal is to prevent spread. The wind turns back and forth. There are homes, a campsite and a petrol station nearby, says Lie.
The residents were transported by bus to the hotel last night.
Completely unusual fire
Fire Chief Leif Linde is on site at Lone. He says that the way the entire facade was in full flame so early after the fire was reported is completely unusual.
– I have never seen that before, he says.
The fire brigade’s operations manager at the site, Frode Lie, agrees and says that it is something he has only seen on film before.
– What’s the reason?
– I can not say anything about that now, it is something the investigation will show, says Lie.
