News 24 | The Ministry of the Interior launches new services through the Absher platform

Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of the Interior launched a number of new e-services and initiatives through the Absher platform. This occurred during the ceremony of the 8th Annual Absher Forum 2022 for Digital Transformation at the Ministry Employees Club in Riyadh.

Services included renewal of Saudi passport and digital identities, services for digital fact verification, a service for reviewing Saudi passport as digital identity and a service for resident to review digital identity for dependents .

It also included the Absher Travel Service, the Stolen Vehicle Report Service for Individuals, the Absher Platform Electronic Payment Service for Individuals, the Absher Internal Application and the Absher 2023 Challenge for Creativity and Innovation, as well as a of services on the internal Absher platform.

He explained that the “Absher Travel” service allows citizens and residents to book an appointment before moving to King Fahd Causeway Passports to depart for the Kingdom of Bahrain, provided that the next stops are announced in the future, noting that this service sends a notification to the beneficiary to warn them of the presence of congestion on the bridge, and helps to reduce waiting times.

Interior Minister’s assistant for technology affairs Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah said the ministry has witnessed rapid technical development of electronic services provided to individuals, businesses, government and ministry employees, which have contributed save time and effort for beneficiaries with more than 350 e-services benefiting over 26 million beneficiaries.

For his part, Tariq Al-Hamid, spokesman for the Absher platform, explained that the economic study conducted for the platform showed that the abundance amounts to more than 17 billion riyals a year.
