The Ministry of Health has launched the media campaign for the urgent care initiative for heart attack cases, entitled “Moment Saves”.
The campaign aims to provide services with high standards and quality within the strategic objectives of the Ministry to provide first aid to heart attack patients in the shortest time possible.
The initiative embodies the integration between the Ministry and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. Saving lives by reducing the time to save heart attack cases from 8 hours to an average of 54 minutes.
Procedures include accessing the patient, performing an EKG, admitting to the hospital without going to the emergency room, and initiating the cardiac catheterization procedure.
Interestingly, the number of saved cases to date has reached 453 cases, while the average age of these cases is 57 years old.
