The Health Insurance Council has begun adding 18 new benefits to the health insurance policy and making improvements to 10 other benefits, most notably obesity operations, kidney transplants, and increasing mental health coverage to 50,000.
The document aims at 7 main objectives, namely, the prevention of beneficiaries, the promotion of health, the reduction of complications of the disease, the improvement of the capacities and functions of the beneficiaries, the facilitation of the access of the beneficiary group to the service , the empowerment of the beneficiaries and the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the service.
AndNew updates apply to health insurance policies Private issued or renewed on that date and thereafter, while the document specified a maximum of one million riyals for the benefit of each person for the year of the document, provided that the small and medium-sized enterprises are supported for more than 500 thousand by the warranty program.
Added some updated benefits related to exploratory preventive exams and vaccinations, focusing on women’s health, obesity operations and kidney transplants, increased mental health coverage to 50,000 instead of 15,000 for acute and chronic cases, and the value of dialysis coverage and other benefits were increased.
The launch of the benefits package, the updated insurance coverage limits and the guide to insurance drugs, are among the steps to achieve the goals of the council’s vision and enable beneficiaries to obtain their full treatment and prevention rights with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
