Today (Wednesday), the Directorate General of Health Affairs in Riyadh announced that it has arrested, in cooperation with the security authorities, two illegal immigrants who perform abortions.
The management said: The two expatriates performed abortions through a residential apartment that had been taken for this purpose in southern Riyadh, in an environment that did not meet the minimum medical and sanitary requirements.
He explained that the two kidnapped people were referred to the Public Prosecutor for having violated article 28 of the law on the exercise of the health professions, which carries a prison sentence for a period not exceeding 6 months and a fine not exceeding 100,000 riyal, or one of their own.
Management indicated that expired medical materials, medical materials to assist in abortion, and materials of unknown origin were seized.
