The Ministry of Health has highlighted the symptoms that appear in the winter season for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, in the light of the effect of cold on the air flow out of the lungs.
The ministry said symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in winter include “difficulty speaking and catching your breath, and your lips or fingernails turning blue or grey”.
And he stressed that symptoms also include an increased heart rate, and worsening of the condition despite the use of medications, requesting a visit to the doctor if these symptoms appear.
