The Ministry of Health has presented a series of recommendations that asthmatic patients must follow when it rains, coinciding with the continuous rains in some regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry advised asthma patients to take care to avoid rain and cold air as much as possible, as they are irritating to asthma, taking care to cover their head, mouth and nose when forced to go outside, as well as to carry emergency spray equipment (bronchodilator) permanently and take care to take preventive spray if previously prescribed.
And he stressed the need to go to the nearest emergency room in the following cases: “bluish color of the extremities, lips and tongue, exacerbation of symptoms, inability to breathe or speak”, as well as failure to respond to first aid spray .
