Sources disclosed aNews 24The Ministry of Health intends to activate and strengthen programs to detect HIV infection in 12 regions of the Kingdom.

The sources indicated that the programs will be activated in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Al-Qassim and Eastern Province regions, as well as Asir, Tabuk, Hail, Northern Borders, Jazan, Najran, Al-Baha and Al-Jawf.

According to earlier statements by Abdullah Al-Hogail, head of the Immunity Association, the consultant, the number of people living with AIDS in the Kingdom is estimated at around 10,000 citizens and more than 20,000 residents, which are small numbers compared to the population and do not pose a danger, according to Al-Hogail.
