Newly Released WhatsPC Tool Analyzes Device Suitability for Windows 11 and Prevents Electronic Waste, According to builtbybel

A few days ago it was reported that The End of Windows 10 Will Cause the Biggest Accumulation of Electronic Waste Everwhich of course will be a worry for users who are still using old devices, whether they have to replace their devices to support Windows 11 or switch to using Linux, which of course is the best alternative for devices that are considered old school.

Regarding this, a developer builtbybel on GitHub recently released a tool newly named WhatsPC, where this tool will provide information about whether the device used is still suitable for use or not to continue running Windows.

For a better feel, I’ve now packaged a lot of system information and checks into an application (hosted in a WebView2/Chromium control) that analyzes the system and provides tips and hints regarding its health status. This might help prevent someone from throwing away their PC and considering other uses for it.

Now the appearance of the application itself is as in the picture above, this application is simple, portable and of course developed open source by the developer who also developed Appcopier.

When we check the system, this application will check many parts, starting from the Windows version, device specifications, to what applications are installed – and yep, this is quite suspicious because everything is checked. scanbut because it is open source, we can see the contents of this program if the security of this application is in doubt.

Well, above are the results of scanning carried out on my device, it says that the device I am using is still quite okay and can run well in the future. And interestingly, this application will also suggest users to try Linux to improve performance.

And if the results are good, even though in theory the device does not support Windows 11, we can still bypass the installation of this OS, but if perhaps according to WhatPC our device does not support it, then switching to Linux might be the best solution.

What do you think about this application? have you tried it?
