Arbon district: Four newcomers and one newcomer have made it to the cantonal council
Robin Spiri (Aufrecht), Roger Martin (the center), Dean Kradolfer (FDP) and Claude Brunner (SVP) are the new faces from the Arbon district in the cantonal council. René Walther (FDP) is already a member, but so far as a representative of the Kreuzlingen district.

The Amriswil tax advisor Robin Spiri (Upright) grabs a seat for the SVP in the Thurgau Cantonal Council. He got 1,107 votes – fewer than any other person elected. At the SVP the Amriswil project manager and city council manages it Claude Brunner new member of the cantonal council with 3,077 votes. He even overtakes the three re-elected Melanie Zellweger, Konrad Brühwiler and Josef Arnold. Spiri and Brunner replace Walter Knöpfli and Egon Scherrer.
Also the Romanshorner Not-City President Roger Martin is now represented in the cantonal parliament. He inherits the seat from secondary teacher Käthi Zürcher, who also lives in Romanshorn. Martin ends up in fourth place on the middle list; with only 27 more votes he would have drawn level with Benno Schildknecht in front of him.
The fourth new face from the Arbon district is the lawyer and former Amriswil deputy mayor Dean Kradolfer (FDP). It was just not enough for Romanshorn city councilor Philipp Gemperle, who is only 133 votes behind Kradolfer.
Although not new to the cantonal council, it is new to the Arbon district René Walther (FDP). He previously ran for the Kreuzlingen district, but changed his place of residence when he was elected mayor in Arbon. He received 284 more votes than Dean Kradolfer and is therefore in third place internally. Brigitte Kaufmann and Viktor Gschwend no longer stood for the FDP.
